AI-Powered Learning Is Redefining Ethics & Compliance Training, SAI360 Survey Shows

Generic Ethics & Compliance (E&C) training? That’s a thing of the past. The SAI360 Learning Content Survey, conducted in December 2024 among product user groups, highlights a significant shift toward AI-powered learning that focuses on personalization in ethics and compliance training.

One key finding is that AI-powered learning is paving the way for smarter, more personalized programs. This personalization means training that resonates with more employees and fosters a deeper long-term understanding of ethical principles. AI? It has potential to drive interaction so E&C becomes more of a give-and-take versus a passive activity.

Respondents said they want AI to do many different things: promote more engagement and better personalization, offer stronger levels of feedback, and help people when they have questions. This way, AI acts as an aid, a support system, and as a teacher, all in one.

78% of respondents said courses that can analyze a learner’s knowledge and adapt accordingly is a future use of AI that could be important to their training.

In this survey, most respondents identified adaptive courses—meaning those that analyze a learner’s knowledge and adjust content dynamically—as a key priority for future training. This trend underscores a move away from traditional, static training models toward solutions that meet diverse learner needs. One-size-fits-all is making way for tailored learning approaches, in other words.

AI-powered learning

Respondents said they prefer AI-driven courses that interact with learners. This finding showcases a strong preference for conversational tools. Ones that foster deeper levels of engagement. Similarly, respondents told us that they see great value in AI-generated quizzes that provide personalized feedback.

Skill-based course assignments also stood out, with respondents generally saying that they favor training that aligns with employees’ roles and expertise. This targeted approach boosts retention, yes, but it also prepares employees for real-world ethical challenges.

What are the Greater Implications?

AI’s ability to deliver tailored content represents a critical advancement in creating impactful learning experiences. In a world where compliance training must be both engaging and effective, this survey proves that AI offers a solution that bridges this gap.
